Description
The Financial Accountant will be reporting to the Finance Manager and also provide financial analysis support to the finance team by processing month end journals and assisting in internal/external audits.
Other key responsibilities in this position will include;
- Contribute in the preparation of month and year end financial statements and supporting documentation
- Preparation of returns for external reporting purposes
- Completion monthly BAS and FBT returns
- Complete monthly reconciliations of the general ledger and sub-ledgers
- Maintain the organisations fixed assets register including capitalisation, depreciation and reconciliations
- Review the accuracy of financial transactions
- Closely monitor and report on cash-flow and prepare monthly cash-flow statements
- Provide assistance in completing the annual external audit
Profile
To be successful in this role you will need to prove skills and abilities in line with below:
- CA / CPA qualified
- SAP experience
- Fringed Benefit Tax (FBT) experience
- 5 years’ experience in similar position
- Ability to work under pressure with competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding verbal communication and critical thinking skills
