About the business and the role
TRS is a supplier of ancillary products to the transport sector. This role is based at our head office in Huntingwood, although we also have operations in SA, Vic and QLD.
Due to team changes we have an opening for a full time qualified assistant accountant to work in our finance team and report to the finance manager.
The candidate we are seeking is a graduate with a degree in accounting that meets the eligibility requirements of the CPA or CA programs. The preferred candidate will also have 1-2 years experience in an accounting support role
Job tasks and responsibilities
This role is part of a team that looks after the end to end accounting for a medium sized business and will focus on the following area's:
- Assist with reconciliations
- Assist with end of month adjustments
- Assist with international supplier reconciliations
- Other month end requirements and reporting as needed
- Assist with payables and receivables as required
Skills and experience
An undergraduate degree in accounting and 1-2 years experience in an accounting support role (may be accounts payable/ receivable, assistant accountant, junior in a chartered firm)
Someone that is keen to learn and self motivated
