Our client is one of Australia's most successful property investment and development businesses. With a large portfolio of suburban shopping centres, bulky goods centres and commercial office buildings, there finance team is responsible for both operational and trust/company level accounting. Due to growth in their current portfolio, they require a senior Management accountant with property experience to join the business.

Reporting to the Head Of Finance, the primary focus is to manage all financials at an operational level for a mixed portfolio of properties.
 
As Management Accountant, key tasks will include:

• Code and journal all property related transactions.
• Prepare monthly financial reports with variance analysis
• Liaise and instruct external audit partners.
• Assist in the preparation of property budgets and forecasts
• Prepare half yearly property tax packs & BAS.
• Ad hoc financial requirements.
• Implement systems and procedures to ensure accuracy of information and meeting of deadlines.

This role requires a Management Accountant who is degree qualified, and has property related experience, and that is able to work autonomously. Experience using MRI, Yardi, Cougar V8 or a similar package is highly regarded, as is a CPA/CA qualification.
