About the position

Reporting to the Partners, this role will see you taking responsibility for your own diverse portfolio of clients and leading a talented team of up to 8 people. The role calls for a positive leader who is proactive, solution orientated and has high attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a group of business advisers and accountants, ensuring accuracy and efficiency of working papers, management reporting and year end statements.
  • Mentor and train your team to inspire growth and individual career success
  • Deliver business advisory and some compliance services to SME’s, consolidated groups and HNW individuals
  • Manage your own client base, nurturing strong relationships with a focus on growth and innovation
  • Build new relationships through an established network of business and referral sources.

‘What you look like’ and need to demonstrate to be successful.

  • CA/CPA qualified with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in the accounting profession, and at least 3 years’ leading a team.
  • Proven experience managing a client portfolio, delivering exceptional client service, and working with clients to achieve goals and improve business performance.
  • Strong technical taxation and SMSF experience.
  • Driven and excited about the company Vision.
  • Prior experience in successfully managing workflow, team performance and productivity
  • Adept at working to deadlines and a reliable performer.
  • Computer fluency including advanced excel and experience with relevant financial accounting systems including XERO. Exposure to cloud based applications preferred.

Highly motivated with a flexible and positive attitude, and an ability to focus on the big picture.
