Management Accountant - Commercial & Property Construction

Our client is a progressive and quickly expanding Construction and Development group who provide their clients with the entire process of development, construction, finance and sale of projects. Having successfully obtained a strong pipeline of projects for 2018 onward, several opportunities for accounting professionals have arisen. 


Your New Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this position will be the Accountant within the development division. As the Management Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

• Month-end financial reporting, job costing and accompanying balance sheet reconciliations 
• Preparing monthly management reporting pack including variance analysis, key metrics and commentary
• Review detailed monthly financial reports for accuracy, significant variances, cost saving opportunities and trends
• Job accruals and closing off completed homes
• Review and provide trend analysis on maintenance and warranty expenses
• Be a key player in preparing and delivering budgets and forecasts
• Assist and work closely with the divisional GM to provide ongoing financial and management reporting

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Advanced Excel skills (CHEOPS OR MYOB would be an advantage)
• CA/CPA qualified
• 3+ years' experience in a management accounting role
• Proactive with a strong work-ethic
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced business environment
• Public practice, construction or development experience necessary
