Your new role:
You will be a key player in a vibrant team environment which offers exposure to a mix of clients, supporting their business from start-up to maturity with reporting, compliance and advisory requirements. The role has clear client focussed responsibilities including client management and engagement. Reporting directly to the Senior Management and Partners.
The role will work with a wide variety of clients across a broad range of industries providing a unique exposure to management reporting, tax compliance and business issues.
More specifically you will be responsible for;
- Prepare a range of complex financial statements in accordance with regulatory, accounting and financial reporting standards
- Prepare clear and concise work papers
- Review work of junior colleagues and supervise where appropriate
- Prepare management accounting reports for review
- Review appropriate completed tax and FBT returns for compliance, and identify non-compliance issues arising from them
- Perform tax planning for clients
- Prepare tax returns for all entities and Business Activity Statements
- Quarterly and annual tax compliance matters
- Responsible for entire client engagement including scoping, WIP management, billings, client deliverables, correspondence and client satisfaction.
What You'll Need To Succeed:
- Graduate degree in Accounting, or Business majoring in Accounting
- CA Qualification or equivalent
- 5 years of Business Services/Tax
- Experience in Microsoft Office: Word/Excel/ Outlook
- Experience working with Advanced Professional Solutions APS, MYOB and Xero is desirable
- Furthermore, you must also be client focussed and have a strong commitment to providing quality service and building robust stakeholder relationships.
- You must have excellent time management, communication and problem solving skills.
This position will be working as part of a high performing team as well as working autonomously.
