The Client

My client is a growing player in the facilities management space, who have tripled in size in the last 12 months, having won major contracts with some of Sydney's biggest commercial property owners and government departments. They provide an extremely high volume service of maintenance solutions to a multitude of commercial environments, with a focus on high quality customer service and delivery.

Due to the increase in the volume of work, they are now looking to add a full time bookkeeper/accounts team member to add value to their operation.

The Role

No two days will ever be the same, and this role will be a suit a full function bookkeeper who has shown that they are able to keep up with the high volume of purchase orders that come across their desk. This role plays a critical part in the smooth running of the finance function of this business, and works closely with other areas. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Accounts Payable;
  • Accounts Receivable;
  • Following up supplier invoices; up to 500 per month
  • Answering queries from clients regarding invoicing;
  • Following up Aged Debtors;
  • Reconciliation of all GL accounts;
  • BAS;
  • Weekly Payroll;
  • Financial Reporting;
  • Reconciliation of Purchase Orders; and
  • Reconciliation of excel based spreadsheets for costings.

The Candidate

To be suited to this position, you will ideally have experience with all, or most of the following requirements:

  • Be degree qualified in commerce or accounting
  • Be part CA or CPA qualified (desirable)
  • 2 years experience working in a fast paced, high volume role
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • MYOB experience
