We are looking for an experienced Financial/Management Accountant to join our team, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all general ledger accounting, management of AR, AP and payroll functions for Arcadia College and its related companies.
We are looking for someone with previous experience in:
- The day to day management and development of an accounts team
- Full general ledger accountability across multiple entities
- Working closely with payroll to ensure team pays, PAYG, superannuation and statutory expenses are accurate and paid on time
- Timely month and year end closes including journals and reconciliations
- Month end actuals reporting
- Balance sheet Reconciliations - completed and issues rectified
- ATO returns – BAS, FBT reconciliation and lodgement
- Reviewing processes, providing and implementing solutions to improve the finance function
- Managing the external auditors
Our ideal candidate will be:
- CA/CPA qualified and have excellent knowledge of current accounting standards
- 5+ years’ experience in managing the financial accounting function for a company and experience in providing insights to management
- someone that looks to continuously improve systems and processes
- an effective communicator and bring to the role your natural leadership abilities in mentoring a small successful team
- able to work comfortably in an ever-changing environment
- have excellent attention to detail
