Autosports Group is one of Australia's largest prestige and luxury automotive retail groups employing approximately 1350 people across 37 dealerships nationally.The Group is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange and has operations in NSW, VIC and QLD.
This particular role is based in NSW and involves overseeing the preparation and completion of budgets, accounts and financial statements for Autosports Group dealerships based in NSW as well as Autosports Group Head Office.
The role also involves reporting on results and providing critical analysis on business performance, trends and areas for improvement.
Some responsibilities include:
- Supervise the completion of budgets, accounts and financial statements for all NSW based dealerships and head office functions.
- Supervise the generation of monthly reports for use at regular (monthly and/or quarterly) management meetings using appropriate reporting templates.
- Contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of reporting templates with a long-term plan to automation.
- Monitor dealership budgets and forecasts and help develop plans to rectify shortcomings. This may include liaising with responsible managers and policing action plans.
- Advise on cost control (including Capex) and other elements affecting the financial management of the Dealership.
- Oversee management of accounts payable and receivable
- Work with CFO in relation to business cash flow.
- Ensure all data entry and posting of financial figures is as per Autosports Group timetable.
- Provide DMS support to direct staff as required
- Administer the allocation of Head Office expenses across the business
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role within the automotive industry.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience managing a team of 10+ people
- Advanced computer skills with MS Excel, Office, accounting software and databases
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports
- Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations
- High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
- Sound independent judgement
- Experience within a listed entity also an advantage.
