Client Details

My client is a leading Financial Services organisation seeking a high calibre Financial Accountant to join their Finance team.

Description

Responsibilities:

• Month end close process including deferral and accrual, prepayment, journals and revenue/expense recognition
• Reconciling and balancing General Ledger vs Subsidiary Ledger.
• Preparation of monthly profit & loss and balance sheet statements
• Preparation of monthly GST, PAYG report, yearly FBT and Payroll Tax return
• Analysing trial balance
• Prepare half year and yearly financial statement
• Developing monthly board report and comments on key P&L/Balance Sheet items.
• Tracking project financial execution, conducting profitability analysis and contractor time sheet analysis.
• Reviewing and ensuring proper documentation, improving internal/external process compliance for project delivery/procurement/billing/collection purposes.
• Ad-hoc accounting project for process improvement

Profile

To be successful, you must have:

• Banking/Financial Services background
• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar Financial Accounting role
• CA/CPA qualified or part-qualified
• Attention to detail
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Intermediate Excel skill
