There is an opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join the finance team in the National Head Office in Sydney's western suburbs. The position reports to the Senior Accountant and requires an individual who has the ability to work as part of a team that reports to the Australian Managing Director.
The position is responsible for processing all taxation, superannuation, workers compensation and all insurance calculations and payments, GL reconciliations and postings, preparation of financial month end accounts, maintenance of excel management reports, maintenance and processing of monthly rental / lease payments. You will also be maintaining records and assisting with the maintenance of fixed assets, banking and dealing with government regulations and compliance.
The person best suited to this role must be able to demonstrate a focus on accuracy, you must be able to meet deadlines and possess the ability to prioritize competing tasks. You are experienced in working with large software systems such as Pronto or SAP, have advanced Microsoft Excel skills, have a strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with all employees effectively to resolve enquiries regarding your role.
Preferred however not essential is experience working in a multinational or national organisation, TAFE qualifications in Accounting as a minimum and at least five years experience working in a commercial or industrial environment.
