Cornerstone Advisory is a well-established CA Practice located in the Sutherland Shire offering a wide range of Business, Taxation, Advisory and Business Outsourcing Services. Our range of clients include family businesses, professionals, high net worth individuals, corporate and not-for-profit organisations.
Our firm is growing rapidly therefore we are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our experience and friendly team.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who is ambitious and who wants to grow within our practice. Working whilst studying will provide you with invaluable hands on experience, skills and knowledge.
To be suitable for this position, you must be enrolled in bachelor degree in accounting. Accounting experience is preferable but not essential.
Hours of Work:
8.45am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Hours of work is negotiated during University semesters and study and exam leave is provided.
Task:
- Prepare financial reports for all entity types·
- Attendance to taxation and compliance obligations of clients generally·
- Attend to payroll tax reconciliations and workers comp calculations·
- Prepare monthly management reports for clients·
- Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.·
- Resolve accounting discrepancies.·
- Preparation of income tax returns for all entity types·
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements for this Role:
- Enrolled and studying degree in accounting
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Own transport and not have any issues with travelling to and from work i.e. must live within reasonable distance from office
