Speno Rail Maintenance a world leader in the rail detection, rectification, servicing and maintenance industry are seeking a motivated and conscientious Junior Trainee Accountant to join their small team located in their head office in Belmont.
ASAP START
All applicants must meet the following criteria;
- Strong multi-tasking and prioritising
- Friendly, polite and positive "can do" attitude
- Valid license and own transport
- Able to work 7:30am – 4pm or 8am - 4.30pm
- Able to undertake a formal Accounts Traineeship with possible further development as required
- Strong numerical, written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Minimum of basic Microsoft excel and general computing skills
- Presentable, Reliable and time efficient.
Job Summary;
The Junior Accountant is responsible for assisting with daily accounting functions as required by the Accountant and CFO. The Junior accountant will also have to assist with Accounts Payable as required.
Job Duties and Responsibilities;
- General administration duties
- filing
- archiving
- photocopying
- assisting in all accounts payable functions
- assisting with monthly payroll
- daily bank reconciliations
- answering phones and occasional reception cover
- assistance with monthly BAS
- assistance with CLSL returns
- ABS quarterly surveys
- Entering monthly GL journals and assisting with month end reporting
- Weekly prompt payments
