Project Finance Specialist | Melbourne CBD | Contract Start ASAP

An outstanding opportunity exists for an experienced PMO / Project Accountant to join a highly-regarded, large organisation and play a crucial commercial role whilst successfully supporting multiple work streams.
You will work closely with a team of Project Managers, Finance and the Program Manager, taking ownership of project financials, creating a market differentiating experience for customers and delivering cost efficiencies across this large program of work.
The role will involve a range of duties including the following:
- Project set-up and systems management
- SOW creation, review of open commitments, spreadsheet updates and codes
- Month end processes and reporting including journal and accruals (with supporting documentation)
- Cost oversight, actual spend, forecast and alignment with milestones
- Benefit refinement and modelling for programme and individual projects, realisation and tracking performance
- CBT financial reviews, assistance and compliance
- P&L construction and balance sheets
- Ensure consistent automated reporting, governance and structure exists across various project streams
- Experience working in large programs utilising both internal and external resources
- SAP, EPM, Advanced Excel (Pivot tables and VLOOKUP’s)
- CA or CPA Qualified Professional with minimal 5 years post qualified experience in related finance and/or accounting roles in a PMO environment.
