Based in western Sydney, our client is a leading accounting firm providing accounting and business advisory services.
Currently an excellent career opportunity exists for a junior level Accountant to join their friendly Business Services Tax team and kick-start their career.
Reporting to the Supervisor, you will be a motivated individual who is flexible and able to work under pressure with the ability to prioritise and adjust to different workloads. You will be customer service focused and possess excellent communication skills.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Preparation and review of correspondence
- Assistance with filing, scanning and archiving
- Completion of timesheets
- Data entry within required time frames and continued self review of data entry to ensure accuracy
- Complete audit functions in tax software and noting and rectifying discrepancies
- Liaise with relevant government departments
- Follow up and monitor work progress
- Provide cross functional support to the Supervisor and other personnel as required
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Eligibility to approved ICAA accreditation, having achieved a score in the top 15% of the state
- Degree/diploma or currently undertaking studies
- Strong MS Office skills and MS Excel skills
- High level interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly organised with the capability to prioritise and meet deadlines, outstanding time management skills
- Team focused with the ability to work autonomously
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Focused, strong attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and enthusiastic
- Eagerness to learn
- Positive approach to work and colleagues
