The role
You will support the Finance Team, in the delivery of financial analysis to support the business in the execution of the Strategy.
Duties and responsibilities
- Support the senior manager and the head of finance to meet the financial & strategic requirements of the business unit
- Partner with the business to drive optimal financial outcomes and support business initiatives
- Deliver monthly management reports for the business unit with insight led analysis and commentary
- Produce financial forecasts through close collaboration with the business
- Build robust, reliable, logical and user-friendly financial models to facilitate the financial assessment of various business initiatives
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers across finance and investments business partners
- Represent finance at appropriate business leadership team meetings
- Drive and implement process improvement within the team
- Support and develop Senior Analyst team members.
Essential skills and criteria
- Accounting degree & CA, CPA or equivalent
- Big 4 /Chartered Accounting background preferred but not essential
- Minimum 5 years post qualification experience working within a Financial Services environment
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, thinks outside the box and enjoys a challenge
- Advanced excel including Financial Modelling & experience using BI Tools such as TM1 or Tableau
- Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement
- Self-starter who has the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to converse (written and verbal) competently with senior management in Finance and the general business
- Strong Microsoft skills: Excel (intermediate/advanced), Word and PowerPoint.
