Based in western Sydney, our client is a leading accounting firm providing accounting and business advisory services.

Currently an excellent career opportunity exists for a Graduate Chartered Accountant to join their friendly team and kick-start their career.

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be a motivated individual who is flexible and able to work under pressure with the ability to prioritise and adjust to different workloads. You will be customer service focused and possess excellent communication skills.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Ensure that all work is recorded in the workflow systems and updated, ensuring that all allocated work is prepared and completed within set budget & time requirements
  • Document preparation including bills, invoices
  • Preparation of client accounts into financial statement format
  • Prepare income tax returns (including complex ITRs) & lodge with the ATO as per ATO guidelines
  • Ensure that all statutory required documentation is prepared and lodged within time frames, such as Worker's Compensation, superannuation, Payroll tax, BAS, FBT, and Income Tax.
  • Client management, maintaining communication and client rapport
  • Providing updates to clients on work status
  • Provide technical support and knowledge to junior team members when necessary
  • Conduct audits within set time frames and provide assistance to Senior Auditors
  • Report and account preparation
  • Provide support to the Team Leader as required

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Accountancy Degree or similar is preferred or to be undertaking studies with a significant level of experience is required
  • Minimum 3 years experience
  • Knowledge in the preparation of financial statements and tax returns of all types
  • Strong MS Office skills and MS Excel skills
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly organised with the capability to prioritise and meet deadlines, outstanding time management skills
  • Develop and foster strong client relationships
  • Capacity to coach and mentor junior team members
  • Team focused with the ability to work autonomously
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Focused, strong attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and enthusiastic
  • Positive approach to work and colleagues
