Aston Carter have partnered with a global investment manager with a focus on real estate and infrastructure to find a driven Property Accountant to join their Melbourne team.
Join a business with a focus on a supportive and ambitious culture, looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant or Accountant to join their Melbourne team and look after end to end accounting for some of their large property assets.
The role encompasses typical Financial Accounting tasks:
- Month end
- Reconciliations
- Review of general ledger monthly
- Wash ups and accruals
- Budgets and forecasting
- Journal entries
- Utilising JDE system
- Ensure property expenses are paid in a timely manner
You will also need to build relationships and maintain these with stakeholders outside of the finance team, related to the assets you manage the finances for. These can range from site managers, operations individuals and property managers.
The ideal candidate will bring the following:
- Degree in Accounting or Commerce or something similar
- CPA/CA (nice to have)
- 2+ years experience (in property accounting)
- Ability and want to work in a team
- Attention to detail
- Ability to hit deadlines
