Opportunity for a Senior Financial Accountant to work for a leading health institution. Contract role initially with potential to go permanent.

Reporting into the Manager of Financial Systems and Audit, you will manage the external reporting for the group. You will prepare high level and complex financial performance reports requiring analysis and validation of data for distribution to internal and external users. You will also plan and coordinate the annual financial audit, including the preparation of the annual financial statements. 

In addition you will lead negotiations with stakeholders to ensure the reporting requirements are able to be met and that system changes are implemented.  You will assess risks and system failures and analyse, plan, implement and manage processes to ensure the reliability and integrity of the information.

Finally you will prepare correspondence, briefs and reports appropriate for circulation to staff. You will also contribute to business planning and review processes.

To be considered for this role you will be CA/CPA qualified with strong accounting experience (ideally in a large health organisation) preferably in the fields of external reporting. You will have advanced knowledge of excel and practical skills with a large ERP like Oracle. You will have demonstrated experience with processes or systems redesign related to accounting and the ability to lead change programs.
