The opportunity

If so, then HomeAway has a Financial Analyst role available and we want to talk to you! The commercial finance team leads and manages the global weekly trading meeting and topline pacing analysis, monthly business review of contribution margins, quarterly forecasting and annual planning.

Your responsibilities:

• Providing in quarter management of EBITDA risk/opportunities, creation of commercial financial targets and analysis of support financial trade off’s across regions and line of business for optimal return.
• Support global sales, pricing and forecasting of supply and demand.
• Working with the Regional Financial Manager you will analyse and report the commercial story for the APAC region on a weekly and monthly basis and communicate the story to the global commercial team along with local and global business leaders.
• Work through the regular forecast, OPEX and budget processes as well as other special projects where needed.
• Provide for a common language and data driven hypotheses, which can be validated through a test and learn approach to enable exceptional analytical insights, influencing faster and better business decisions.

The ideal profile

• Bachelor’s in Finance, Business or Economics with 3-5 years of experience as a Financial Analysis (emphasis on top line forecasting)
• Intermediate level SQL coding skills
• Experience utilizing advanced Excel skills to solve business problems and understand statistical significance in a repeatable and sustainable form.
• Experience with financial ERPs or other OLAP based financial planning software.
• You can decide and act with ambiguous data or in a high-change environment.
• You are a strong communicator who is focused on achieving great outcomes for your commercial business partners.
• Experience forecasting sales and revenue and associated metrics along with headcount and expense for multiple lines of business.
