Sydney Tools is a leading Australian owned business with over 20 locations across Australia.

Due to continued growth and expansion we are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our Head Office Team. This role will be starting immediately and is in a full functioning accounts payable team. You will be in a supportive close knit team.

Key Responsibilities

The role duties will be;

• Receive and verify invoices for goods and services
• Verify that transactions comply with Company/ financial policies and procedures
• Prepare invoices for data entry and secure approval
• Data enter invoices and save for payment
• Manage payment run base on agreed frequency
• Maintain updated vendor files and file numbers
• Maintain Open Purchase order listing
• Provide administrative support in order to ensure effective and efficient office operations
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial files
• Perform other related duties as required

To be considered for this role you will have:

• Knowledge in Accounts Payable.
• Ability to maintain high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial records.
• Extremely high attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent time management skills – you will be able to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, process high volume of daily transactions and act with a sense of urgency.
• Excellent English; verbal and written communication skills.
• Dedicated team player
• Sound computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
