About the role

Working as part of a small team, this role supports the accounts payable function and involves the processing of supplier invoices and internal client payment requests, and managing automated payment processes.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that invoices and internal payment request are processed and payments made to suppliers within agreed terms;
  • Ensuring that all payments have appropriate documentation and correct authorisation;
  • Processing urgent requests for payments as required;
  • Processing foreign currency vendor payments using the firm’s external foreign currency providers – Western Union & NAB;
  • Processing daily ChromeRiver exports into Elite and answering queries from users;
  • Providing backup for monthly reconciliation and payment process for the firm’s Corporate Card programs (Amex and Visa) and weekly staff reimbursements.

 

What experience are we looking for?

  • Experience working in a law firm or professional services environment is desirable
  • Accounts payable or finance experience is desirable
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and work well under pressure
  • Intermediate excel skills
