FutureYou Executive Recruitment are exclusively partnering with a Mid-Tier accounting firm in Melbourne CBD that is looking to grow their leading Tax Consulting division with an Assistant Manager/Manager. The team currently has 2 partners and 16 staff, and due to a healthy pipeline of work and increased capacity, they are looking for client facing professionals that can act as a real 'trusted advisor' to their diverse client base.
Working in one of Australia’s premier Tax Consulting practices, their practice group is at the forefront of tax technical developments, driving thought leadership and consulting directly with Government, Treasury and the ATO on emerging tax issues.
Description
Reporting directly to the Partner, this role will involve:
- Supporting the development of junior staff and delivery of technical tax advice to a broad and varied stakeholder base;
- Assisting with consultations on tax technical developments with high level stakeholders;
- Responsible for identifying and refining key regulatory and legislative taxation developments, and communicating the implications across the firm and to clients;
- Assisting with the implementation of new technologies within the Tax Consulting practice
- Reforming tax due diligence reviews
- Work closely with the partnership group to deliver high end advice directly to clients
Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 5 years tax experience in an Australian firm
- CA or CPA Qualified
- Masters of
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Desire to expand your taxation knowledge and to utilise your passion for sharing this knowledge
- A keen interest in using technology to find solutions and create efficiencies in the work you do.
