A busy and exciting operation that is busy 7 days a week, operating 200 gaming machines and extensive food and beverage services, we are looking for a motivated, committed and energetic individual to fill the role of Finance Manager on a full-time basis.
Corowa RSL is located on the beautiful Murray River and has approximately 8000 members and a long history in the community. Last year the club donated over $200,000 to community projects and it prides itself for having built a solid reputation for providing a friendly, value-for-money, and community-focused service offering quality food and service to members and guests.
The Finance Manager is responsible for supervising the Club’s financial and accounting
procedures, preparing annual accounts and reports, interpreting financial results and supervising a small team of direct reports. They will work side-by-side with the CEO on a number of large projects in the current scope of works.
A very competitive salary package will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of annual budgets across all department.
- Manage and maintain asset registers.
- Manage BAS, FBT and payroll tax reporting.
- Monitor and comply with all financial statutory requirements.
- Prepare monthly finance reports for the Board.
- Assist with the annual audit process and AGM.
- Contribute to the strategic planning process.
- Facilitate data migration from current accounting package to a new system.
To be considered for this new role, you will:
- Possess extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of liquor licensing regulations and gaming compliance.
- Have a minimum 5 years’ experience working as a Finance Manager or Senior Management role in a Club environment.
- Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead and implement change.
- Broad data analysis skills to facilitate operational efficiencies across all areas.
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting.
- Hold current RSA & RCG certificates.
