The Company

Our client is a dynamic retail Business that has experienced significant growth in recent years. At present, they have an opening for an experienced Accountant to join their Melbourne office. This ambitious organisation is anticipating further growth and is looking for an energetic and ambitious individual to join their growing team.

The Role

This role represents an excellent opportunity to work with an organisation that will offer continued professional development, primarily focusing on the following areas:

• Preparation of monthly financial reports for a portfolio of entities
• Statutory reporting
• More complex financial accounting issues
• Report development and improvement
• Investigation of budget discrepancies
• The production of financial and non-financial management reports. This will require working with other departments to obtain relevant data and analyzing to understand key issues and variances.
• KPI tracking & reporting
• Working on efficiencies to improve reporting deadlines

This client offers flexibility in the role meaning there is an opportunity to focus more on financial, or management accounting. This role requires an immediate start.

Your Profile

You will be a CA or CPA qualified accountant with a solid accounting skillset. You will be a confident and positive communicator, able to contribute to the existing team, and offer value-add process improvements and reporting enhancements. A Big 4 background would be highly regarded but not compulsory.

This position would be best suited for someone with an energetic and ambitious can-do attitude.
