Motivated Financial Accountant with audit experience sought for tertiary sector -Melbourne's northern suburbs

Your new company
An office within the tertiary sector with an excellent reputation, based in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, is seeking a Financial and Tax Accountant.

Your new role
As the Financial and Tax Accountant, you will be reporting directly to the senior corporate accountant and will be responsible for:

• Audit management
• Forecasting and statutory accounting
• Asset and tax management
• Financial transaction processing
• Providing support to the treasury function
• Ensuring compliance

What you'll need to succeed

• A relevant tertiary degree with subsequent experience or training
• You will have a sound understanding of asset and capital forecasting
• An excellent personal motivation and ability to take initiative
• The successful candidate will have exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal, and be someone who demonstrates an ability to be both autonomous and work well in a team.
• Proven ability to problem solve in a collaborative manner
• A working knowledge of SAP and advanced Excel skills are highly regarded
