The role of the Credit Analyst is to achieve company vision and Greatness + Growth strategy. We are looking for a considered and engaged Credit professional with experience in all facets of Credit.

Reporting to a Credit Team Leader, you will be an accomplished communicator who can quickly adapt to a high-volume processing environment and work accurately within expected timeframes.

This role is currently based in Burwood and we are due to relocate in 2020 to our new state of the art offices located in Richmond.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Mitigating risk for actively trading customers
  • Be able to read and understand financial documents
  • Assess credit worthiness of complex accounts
  • Predict probable success or failure of customers utilising various sources of data
  • Assist in the design and implementation of process and or technology resulting in efficiency improvement solutions
  • Assist branch management maximise their branches cash flow and minimize bad debts (Credit Control)
  • Sets, monitors and updates customer credit limits
  • Liaises with branch managers on late payments and trading extensions
  • Liaise with customers
  • Records, follows up and collect dishonoured cheques
  • Initiate and monitor debt recovery
  • Resolve branch/customer account queries
  • Assist with accounts receivable functions when required

What you’ll need:

  • 2+ years' experience in a Credit Analyst role
  • Experience in a high volume transactional environment
  • Ability to develop and manage client relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Word)
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Experience in conflict management and relationship building
