Considered to be one of Australia’s top industries to work in, this dynamic and unique organisation that specialises in a range of services is looking for a highly skilled Payroll & HR Business Partner.

Having lead the way for several years this industry leader has dedicated this position to improve their current payroll processes and operation. For this role one will be working closely with both the Group Payroll Manager and HR Operation Manager.

This is an excellent role if you are interested in moving away from processing and into a business partnering role that looks after process improvements, EBA negotiation and project work.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a payroll subject matter expert for the group payroll division
  • Create and action payroll resolutions at first point of escalation  
  • Partner with senior stakeholders on process improvements initiatives and implementation of payroll operational controls  
  • Assist with the interpretation of policies, Awards and EBAs
  • Support  the EBA negotiation process and implement all outcomes
  • Analysis issues that will impact payroll to identify root causes and facilitate potential action plans to correct existing issues
  • Audit and review payroll data and reports for cleansing purposes
  • Create new ad hoc management reports as per Group Payroll Manager request
  • Support the ongoing maintenance of payroll system and operational services

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 to 3 year experience in a hands on Payroll & HR consulting or business partnering position
  • Ability to interpret complex EBAs
  • Can demonstrate strong client-service and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Must be a self-starter who is proactive and can drive change both internally and externally
