Your new role
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will join the business on a full-time, temporary basis as their end-to-end Payroll Officer. You will manage the fortnightly payrun of 180 employees, which will see you taking care of all aspects of processing timesheets, superannuation, annual and sick leave, award interpretation, adjustments, and query resolution. In addition, monthly and annual payroll tax and workcover returns, preparation of payroll reporting, and general ledger reconciliations. You will also provide assistance with the wider HR administration duties and onboarding. Commencing 20 August 2018, you will be available and committed to join this leading business to cover the current incumbent’s annual leave period of 6 weeks.
What you'll need to succeed
For success in this full-time, temporary Payroll Officer opportunity, you will have:
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Capable of managing a standalone payroll function
- Sound customer service with the ability to build trust and rapport with stakeholders
- Strong proficiency in the use of Micropay Meridian
- Exposure to Attaché will be highly regarded
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Sound time management and prioritisation skills
