We currently have a great opportunity for an Accounts Payable Officer to join an up and coming business utilities organisation on a temporary to permanent basis. This opportunity also offers the benefit of working in a tight knit team environment and being conveniently located close to the Melbourne CBD with parking provided.
Client Details
Our client is classified as a small to medium utilities enterprise who are looking for major expansion over the next 2-3 years by gaining key client contracts. This position is one that will have you working as an Accounts Payable Officer at their Melbourne headquarters, where the work-place is highly regarded for their open, supportive and enjoyable working environment.
Description
Reporting to the Senior Accounts Payable, your role will include but will not be limited to:
- Accurate processing of daily invoices
- Daily reconciliations of multiple bank accounts
- Preparing fortnightly and urgent daily payment runs
- Dealing with enquiries and disputes from suppliers
- Preparing month-end journals and reports
- Assisting with Accounts Receivable and budgeting when required
Profile
The successful applicant would ideally have previous experience working in a high volume end to end Accounts Payable environment whilst also having a working knowledge of Accounts Receivable. Having a positive attitude and the willingness to learn new roles and responsibilities would be preferred. The ability to adapt to a new challenge everyday will be crucial in this position. Previous experience using Oracle accounting software and having a solid knowledge of accounting principles would be considered advantageous.
