We are currently seeking an experienced Mine Accountant for a site based role with accommodation provided. This can be offered on a Drive In Drive Out basis from either Rockhampton or Gladstone.
Supporting Project leaders this role will entail:
- Preparation of the monthly project claim and monthly client reporting
- Managing vendor invoices to ensure costs are reimbursable and within contractual boundaries
- Monthly cost forecasting
- Analysis of variances to expenditure and production metrics
- Maintenance of the vendor register
- Providing advise to contract managers ensuring contracts are managed effectively
- Providing support for the purchase to pay process
It is anticipated that candidates will have previous experience in a site based project accounting role, in a mining or similar environment. You should be degree qualified, and either CA/CPA qualified or working towards.
Strong attention to detail and a pro-active and flexible approach to work will see you succeed in this role. Previous experience with SAP or similar large ERP system is preferred.
