Our client is a boutique fund manager that has experience rapid growth.  Being a boutique this is a small team where you will gain insight to how a company runs giving you great exposure to different tasks and the ability to make this role your own.

Based in the CBD you will report to the Finance Manager and working in a small team.  I the medium term you should be able to take the step up to manage this team but initially you will primarily be responsible for:

Day to day duties include:
• Month end results preparation and reporting
• Year end and ASX result preparation
• Managing external audit functions
• Assistance with tax compliance (BAS, IAS, Payroll tax, FBT, Annual Tax Returns)
• Assisting Group Finance Manager in compliance functions
• Managing ad-hoc projects and financial analysis to senior management
• Provision of coaching and guidance to team members.
  
Skills and Experience
• CA qualified (or equivalent) 
• 5 plus years working within commerce or chartered accounting firm
• Sound technical knowledge on accounting standards and tax laws
• Ability to identify and resolved issues
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• High attention to detail
• Strong Excel and MYOB skills
