Be responsible for the financial management and business performance of the QLD & NT Letters Delivery operations within our eCommerce Delivery Network. You’ll prepare the relevant annual budget and quarterly forecasts, tracking and reporting of business initiatives and their associated benefits; whilst business partnering with stakeholders and senior management to ensure they are provided with accurate and timely financial information to enable informed business decisions.

What you’ll be doing:

• Business partnering with the Operational Managers on all financial related matters
• Full accountability for QLD & NT letters reporting, planning and forecasting, including state and depot level support. This will include accurate and timely mid-month estimates and month end accruals, in line with business requirements.
• Identify, analyse and report opportunities for efficiency improvement and cost management.
• Provide weekly reporting around cost performance and the monthly outlook.
• Facilitate the development of projects/ processes to enable the achievement of productivity and performance improvement across Deliveries.
• Review, evaluate and provide advice on business cases and investment proposals.
• Develop and maintain business benefits tracking and reporting for the business unit.
• Analyse and monitor budget/ financial assumptions and results to ensure operating expenditure, profit and capital are maximised by examining varying internal and external drivers.
• Assess and review customer and product profitability pertaining to QLD & NT letter costs.
• Identify opportunities for yield improvement.
• Support Procurement and Senior Management during negotiations of contractor and supplier arrangements.

Ideally you’ll have a Big 4 background with some commercial exposure thereafter, but we’re happy to consider applications from Big 4 first movers or those with a commercial background looking to move into a partnering role!
