As Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the payroll team and the catalogue of payroll, and basic people operations services, that are delivered via the People and Culture Shared Services unit. The primary goal is to enable the delivery of effective, efficient and compliant solutions and services to employees and managers across Australia, which are aligned to business needs. The role is a respected SME for the NRMA, Thrifty and My Ferry’s group of businesses.
In this role you will:
- Lead the payroll teams to achieve desired service level agreements and annual goals
- Ensure the correctness, timeliness of payments in relation to industrial instruments, employment contracts, company policies and other relevant legislation
- Manage payroll vendors, and key stakeholders, including liaising with auditors
- Oversee and monitor annual projects such as the payment of incentives, external regulatory issues and internal audit findings
- Support the embedding of payroll integration, people operations, and improved service delivery solutions into BAU
- Contribute to the development and management of an annual business plan
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Strong background in payroll service delivery.
- 4-6 years of Payroll Shared Services management experience and Payroll qualified.
- Knowledge of legislative requirements in respect of PAYG, FBT, payroll tax and EEO principles.
- Sound understanding of Industrial Award/Enterprise Agreements.
- Strong leadership ability, excellent communication and well developed interpersonal skills.
- Numeric accuracy, strong attention to detail and strong usage of excel spreadsheets.
- Experience working with PayGlobal, ADP, Premier Payroll is desirable
- Tertiary qualification in Finance. Advanced in computing rates, ratios and percentages in gathering and applying salary and benefits data is desirable
