Based on the banks of the Murray in Echuca VIC, Kagome Australia is an integrated growing and processing agribusiness driven to provide the highest quality products through a relentless continuous improvement mindset. Kagome is seeking a Finance and IT Manager to join their domestic operation to work closely with their operational assets across the local region.
As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the financial integrity of the Australian business units and ensuring the clear, accurate reporting of results through to their international owners. You will report to the CEO whilst overseeing a medium sized team.
Your initial focus will be assisting to bed down a new ERP and Chart of Accounts. This timing provides a unique insight into the business, as you partner with the ERP team to ensure the improved framework delivers both an efficient means of producing the financials, as well as providing the analytical capabilities to support a continuous improvement culture. This will include supervising the project team and providing guidance as required.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Overview accurate and timely preparation and submission of financial information;
- Maintain a monthly/quarterly forecasting processes giving the business a strong understanding of their position;
- Ensure all compliance with statutory and audit requirements;
- Assist with identifying potential cost drivers and identify cost reduction opportunities;
- Oversee the management of IT infrastructure and resources.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have 10+ years in a similar role, ideally with exposure to the agricultural/manufacturing industry with CPA/CA qualifications. You will be able to build successful internal and external relationships, with a keen eye for detail and you will be process driven. You will also have an understanding and ideally experience with ERP systems and be able to quickly pick up new processes. You will enjoy working with, and leading a team, and have a demonstrated coaching leadership style.
