Job description:
We have a fantastic opportunity in the Global Processes & Risk department in our ANL Head Office in Melbourne. Reporting to the Cost Control Manager, the Regional Cost Controller is responsible for ensuring the regional sites of cost control perform according to the agreed guidelines and KPIs between ANL and Group Cost Control management.
The Regional Cost Controller is also responsible for achieving optimal cost structures for ANL trades (Lines) globally and assigned group brands in Oceania by targeted cost analysis and agency onsite review. In addition, this role will conduct targeted cost control activity, report outcomes and will require you to make recommendations for improvements and assist the department manager when required. The role may involve overseas travel for agency reviews.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes-
•Australian citizenship or permanent residence.
•3-5 years minimum experience in a business operational analysis type role focused on cost drivers
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills are elemental to the role.
•Tertiary qualifications in a Business, Commerce/Statistics or relevant discipline.
•Previous business experience in the Shipping/Logistics industry is desirable.
•Highly developed computer skills with advanced knowledge of MS excel.
•Exposure to advanced ERP systems and reporting tools is advantageous.
•Excellent analytical skills with the ability to arrive at well thought out decisions.
•Good numerical skills with understanding of business fundamentals.
•Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with staff at all levels.
•Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a high pressure environment.
