About the role
We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Business Services team in Sydney. This role will be involved in providing professional end-to-end accounting services to a diverse range of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with regulatory, accounting and financial reporting standards;
- Prepare clear and concise work papers and review work papers of junior staff;
- Act as a key point of contact for clients and develop and manage effective client relationships;
- Supervise junior staff on certain jobs, as appropriate;
- Prepare management accounting reports for Manager review;
- Prepare tax returns for all entities;
- Prepare Business Activity Statements;
- Quarterly and annual tax compliance matters;
- Prepare advice for clients in relation to land tax, workers compensation and Payroll tax.

Skills and experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required.
- Must be an Australian Resident
- 6+ years full-time experience in a "local" public practice
- Completed or near completion of CA/CPA
- Solid understanding of tax and accounting fundamentals
- Strong experience with Xero
- Proven ability to develop and build client relationships
- Ability to build rapport with the team
- Previous experience and exposure in group tax structures
