The Opportunity
Reporting into an impressive Senior Finance Manager this is a superb opportunity to join the financial and regulatory reporting team in an end to end financial accounting position. Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of financial statements, left hand notes and disclosures
- Regulatory reporting to APRA, ASIC and ABS
- Lead, mentor and review the work of offshore accounting team
- Proactively look for opportunities to streamline and improve financial and regulatory reporting processes
- Provide technical accounting advice to business units on insurance standards
- Integral involvement in numerous ongoing finance projects
This is an opportunity for a high performer to fast track their way to Finance Manager in the next 18 months - 2 years.
Required Skills and Experience
- Qualified CA / CPA
- Minimum 3-5 years financial or regulatory reporting experience within financial services (ideally life or general insurance)
- Big 4 trained audit background would also be considered
- Strong grasp of IFRS standards
- Superb stakeholder and presentation skills
