A Government Department is seeking a Payroll Officer for a long term assignment to be based in Brisbane CBD
Your new company
A large Government Department located in Brisbane CBD is now seeking a payroll Officer for a temporary assignment.
Your new role
Your core accountabilities will entail undertaking a range of general payroll processing functions, providing timely and accurate advice to relevant managers on payroll related matters, and maintaining and filing appropriate records and documents in accordance with department protocols. Additionally you will assess payment and leave entitlements, maintain up to date knowledge of payroll related legislation, and check payroll processing to ensure accuracy and compliance with audit requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need thorough knowledge of payroll processing systems, policies, procedures and related legislation, as well as sound mathematical skills and exceptional attention to detail. Additionally you will possess the ability to manage, organise and prioritise workloads, and hold excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
