Kelly Services is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Officer for one of our Government Client based in Parramatta to work on an initial 3 months contract. The successful candidate will assist with completing payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
Key Accountabilities
• Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
• Pays vendors by scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments.
• Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
• Maintains historical records by microfilming and filing documents.
Key requirements:
- Experience in an AP/AR processing role
- Must have experience working with an automated invoice processing system such as Kofax or Readsoft
- Advanced Experience using TECH1 (FINANCE 1)
- Outstanding communication skills enabling them to deal with both internal and external customers at all levels (Verbal and written)
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
