We’re at a very exciting stage as we scale to support the rapid global growth at Coates. Our new Group Financial Controller will lead a local Finance team of 7 and support the Group Chief Financial Officer who is also based in our Sydney Head Quarters. 
  
The Group Financial Controllers primary responsibilities are:
  • Preparation, consolidation and delivery of timely and accurate multi-currency consolidated group monthly management accounts and reports including; business activities, sales, margin and cost analysis. 
  • P&L analysis and reporting by market, cost centre and project to each business segment.
  • Maintain accuracy of group balance sheet, including stock management.
  • Management of the groups' cash flow and reporting.
  • Process payroll and associated reports and returns monthly for 110 employees.
  • Manage the day to day operations of the Finance & Systems & Process teams.
  • Audit and taxation compliance.
  • Support the operational efficiency of all financial systems and run projects to manage process improvement, systems improvements and cost savings opportunities.
  • Provision of support to the GCFO on various financial management projects.
 Key Relationships:
  • Maintain business partnerships with key business managers of each department.
  • Liaise with our offices in China, Japan, USA, Dubai & India.
  • External bankers, auditors, insurance brokers, lawyers and business advisors.
 Skills and experience required:
  • At least 15 years commercial experience in a Group Financial Controller role.
  • Must be a hands-on person willing to get involved in all aspects of the business.
  • Exposure to treasury management, financial and statutory reporting.
  • Strong understanding and track record in general management practices and delivering process improvements to the finance operations.
  • Previous experience in service industries.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven track record in managing a small-medium sized finance team.
