An opportunity exists for an experienced senior accountant to join our team.
We are a proactive firm of Chartered Accountants, Financial Planners and Solicitors featured in BRW. We have four offices throughout Sydney. We are requiring an ambitious accountant with a minimum of 5 years experience to work from our Neutral Bay office. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to manage a portfolio of clients, specialise in taxation planning, self managed superannuation and wealth creation.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will assist the Principal who is a Chartered Accountant, Certified Financial Planner and a Self Managed Superannuation Fund Specialist Advisor in the preparation of financial statements and the provision of taxation advice for a portfolio of business and professional clients.
You will be CA/CPA qualified and have a minimum of 5 years experience.
In this role you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your technical and people skills. You will also be involved in the decision making processes.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Manage a portfolio of business and professional clients
- Preparation and review of financial statements for all entities including Self Managed Superannuation Funds
- Preparation of taxation advice
- Assist with developing client relationship
- Assisting with the provision of adhoc advisory services
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
- Driven, motivated and positive attitude
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work autonomously and as a team member
- The ability to research and provide taxation recommendations
- Proven experience dealing with a portfolio of clients
- Proven experience with administration, taxation and reporting for Self Managed Super Funds
- Experience in Class and BGL software is preferred
