About the Role
A new full-time opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified Financial Accountant to join this dynamic team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for budgeting, cashflow forecasting, IAS/BAS and taxation reporting obligations, month end and statutory reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparing profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management reports
- Reviewing and lodging Business Activity Statements and Fringe Benefits Tax submissions
- Providing weekly, monthly and annual reports as required
- Delivering cash flow information to the CFO
- Reconciling nominated general ledger accounts as per schedule
- Maintaining the Resort Asset Register for financial purposes
- Assisting and supporting both internal and external audit requirements
- Supervising payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Drive process improvement across the organisation
- Other duties as required
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor degree in Accounting is essential
- CA or CPA qualification is desirable
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role is necessary
- Demonstrated analytical skills will be advantageous
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills will be beneficial
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential
