  • Full time Accounting and Admin Assistant role based in Sydney CBD
  • $55k + super + company benefits
  • Must have 2-5 years Accounts Receivable and general Accounting experience

MY CLIENT A GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY COMPANY BASED IN SYDNEY CBD ARE LOOKING FOR AN ACCOUNTING AND ADMIN ASSISTANT TO JOIN THEIR TEAM:

Responsibilities

Accounting: - (APAC)

  • Manage customer invoices in company’s ERP application (for APAC)
  • Reconcile customer accounts and discrepancies (for APAC)
  • Resolve invoicing disputes
  • Collection - obtain payment from customers in a timely manner
  • Track account details for non-payments, delayed payments or other irregularities
  • Work on outstanding accounts to reduce DSO for payment
  • Adhere to company credit and collection standards and policies
  • Raise invoices for intercompany recharge including Fixed Assets
  • Gather and file sales related documents
  • Prepare weekly and monthly AR aging reports
  • Prepare or reconcile commission clawback report
  • Update customers’ credit limit setup
  • Monitor customers’ credit hold
  • Prepare monthly statement of accounts for distribution
  • Deferred Income Reconciliations
  • Assisting in GL accounting (for APAC)

Office Administration: (Local)

  • Assist with Reception facilities and incoming calls
  • Assist the Location Manager
  • Attend to office administrative tasks
  • Incoming/Outgoing mail and packages for distribution (including arranging courier)
  • Assist with booking of travel and accommodation arrangements for visiting guest/staff
  • Coordinate office maintenance
  • Order pantry supplies and maintain kitchen
  • Order stationery supplies and maintain general office area
  • IT dept local coordinator

Required Skills

  • Diploma holder in Accountancy , Finance
  • Knowledge of general accounting procedures
  • Ability to organise and prioritise
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent IT user skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently
  • Ability to work under pressure and meeting closing schedules

Required Experience

  • 2 -5 years accounts receivable, credit and collection, and general accounting experience
  • Experience in accounting system (eg. Oracle or NetSuite), Microsoft Excel & Word
