The Role:

Due to business growth, an opportunity exists for a Junior Accountant.

  • Prepare Tax Returns/BAS/Financial Statements and regular compliance work
  • Preparation of management reports
  • Coordinate and conduct research and assist with advice
  • Bookkeeping
  • Work closely with the partners and directors
  • Liaise with clients as required
  • Remuneration will be according to skills and experience.

This role presents an opportunity to work with a range of businesses and on a variety of projects.  As a Junior accountant, you are expected to step into the role and adapt to our systems.

Requirements:

  • AE Tax Software (over 1 year experience)
  • MYOB Experience (over 1 year experience)
  • Financial and Annual Accounts Preparation
  • Ability to learn a CRM system
  • Balance sheet and bank account reconciliations
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Solid office skills, such as filing, scanning and document management
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills, as you will be expected to write numerous emails daily to clients
  • Able to prepare monthly entries and supporting schedules and provide monthly reconciliations of accounting records
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Highly skilled in the use of MS Office
  • Ability to follow correct procedures for tasks when given to you
  • Reviewing work with Senior Partner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • An enthusiastic attitude and strong attention to detail.
