The Organisation
A reputable mining organisation with a dynamic finance function is actively seeking an Assistant Accountant, this is an urgent role that requires an immediate start.
The Role
Reporting in to the Group Accountant you will be responsible for supporting various finance staff to ensure that general accounting initiatives and functions are successfully carried out.
Duties:
- Completing monthly bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations
- General ledger posting and journals
- Preparing the GST return
- Managing the fixed assets register
- Other ad hoc duties as required
- Assisting with the preparation of half-yearly and annual financial reports
- Assisting with production of various month end reports
The Requirements
- CA/CPA Qualified or studying towards
- Minimum 3 years experience within a similar role
- Industry experience preferred
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills
