This is a full time permanent role where you will have the opportunity to lead and mentor a large team and be supported in achieving your own personal career goals.
  
Role
This is a big role and a complex payroll. There are already robust processes and systems in place, but our ideal candidate will also be able to review the current processes and ensure they will be able to keep up with the projected growth. My client also has a team of experienced Payroll Officers that are looking forward to welcoming a new Payroll Manager.
  
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Leading, developing and mentoring a team of payroll officers
  • Ensuring payroll compliance
  • Utilising your strong knowledge of complex awards and EBA’s
  • Working with the team to ensure that the multiple weekly pay runs are complete and accurate
  • Conducting a review of all existing payroll processes and systems
  • Continuous improvement of the payroll process and team members
  • Ensuring KPI’s are adhered too
  • Partnering with the broader business regarding payroll processes
  • Providing training to all existing payroll team members
  • Working closely with the Senior Leadership team on a broad range of projects
  
Skills and Experience Required
In order to be successful in this role you will have a broad Payroll background ideally within a large industry background, you will also possess the following:
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring a large team
  • Strong experience working within a complex award and EBA framework
  • A passion for continuous improvement and process improvement
  • Proven experience in navigating complex organisational change
  • Strong systems experience with a large ERP
