RoleWe are seeking a Manager to join the Finance team that supports Retail Banking Business. The ideal candidate will pro-actively partner with the business to provide insights and analysis to help drive business performance. Your responsibilities will include:
- reviewing, challenging and reporting financial results on the cost base of a range of retail banking products
- designing and delivering monthly KPI reports that give meaningful insights into the cost base and business performance
- delivery of the monthly rolling forecast, annual budget and strategy inputs for the cost base of a range of retail banking products
- manage and assist in implementation of allocation methodologies for the BFS cost base
- identifying opportunities to simplify and improve current process
- contribution into project based type activity supporting delivery of the Group strategy.
- providing support on ad-hoc pieces of financial analysis including cost initiatives, business cases and scenario analysis
You are a confident and driven individual with a background in accounting, finance, risk or treasury. You will also have a strong interest in the Australian Banking sector and a desire to build a career in financial management. Your tenacious attitude, curiosity, attention to detail and ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders will be the key to your success in this role. You will also have:
- degree qualified (CPA/CA/CIMA qualifications desirable)
- 4+ years business partnering experience within financial services or retail client focused sector
- the ability to grasp new concepts and ideas associated with new products and on-going change in the business and reporting environment
- a well-developed attention to detail but with capacity to appreciate the "big picture"
- exceptional Excel and modelling skills
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- experience with TM1 would be advantageous
