Government Agency looking for an experienced Accounts Payable and Receivable Officer to join their friendly team south of the CBD on an initial 2 month temporary basis.
Client Details
Our Client is a recently reformed Government agency who due to a restructure have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable and Receivable Officer.
Description
Reporting to the Finance Team Leader, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Raising inventory purchase orders
- Processing and payment of invoices
- Reconcile creditor’s statements
- Assisting in month end reporting
- Maintaining good relationship with suppliers
- The Accounts Receivables duties will involve some collections, reconciliations and allocating funds
Profile
To be successful in this role you must have:
- At least 3 years experience in a similar role
- A mature and team-focused approach to work
- Clear communication style
- Ability to handle a high volume busy environment
- A flexible and adaptable attitude as you will be expected to assist with various accounting duties
- *Previous Government experience would be preferred and SAP exposure would be advantageous*
