About the role
This is a perfect permanent part-time opportunity to achieve better work-life balance working a total of 25-30 hours per week. These can be worked flexibly to suit however the preference is to manage these hours across 4 or 5 business days.
There would be an expectation to work some hours on a Thursday as this is the day payroll will need to be processed. Again, hours are flexible and negotiable. We're after an ASAP start.
Key responsibilities:
Management of financial operations including maintenance and stewardship
over appropriate financial systems and records.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of day to day transactions including
the reconciliation and payment/receipt of creditors/debtors, reconciliation of
bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts.
Preparation of monthly management financial reports.
Management of financial performance including cash flow and cash flow
forecasting.
Accurate processing of payroll and associated reporting.
Preparation of statutory financial statements for relevant entities.
Preparation of BAS/IAS and other compliance activities.
Identify and implement initiatives to improve financial systems, processes and
procedures.
Systems management and user access.

Skills and experience
You will be a CPA or CA qualified Accountant with tertiary qualifications in Accounting. You will have prior experience working in a similar internal Accountant or Finance Manager role with comparable responsibilities.
We're seeking a professional who will be able to work as a valued member of the team but also autonomously. Ability to prioritise your workload, manage work demands and work to deadlines is important
Experience using Xero and MS Office is required and confidence with NAB Connect will be highly regarded.
